Introducing the iCESugar-nano, an open source FPGA development board that is based on the Lattice iCE40LP1k-CM36. This board is fully supported by the open source toolchain (yosys & nextpnr & icestorm) and features three standard PMOD connectors for leading out all the IOs. The on-board debugger, iCELink, is based on ARM Mbed DAPLink and supports drag-and-drop programming. You can easily program the FPGA bitstream by dragging it into the virtual disk. Additionally, iCELink provides an adjustable clock to the FPGA and an additional USB CDC serial port directly connecting to the FPGA. With just one TYPE-C cable, you can start developing and testing the board.
Features of the iCESugar-nano include the iCE40LP1k main chip with 1280 LUT/8KB SRAM/PLL, an on-board iCELink debugger supporting drag-and-drop programming and a USB CDC serial port, and the leading out of 14 usable IOs with one 26 Pin PMOD connector and two 16 Pins PMOD connectors. The board also utilizes a fully open source tool chain for development and includes on-board 2MB SPI-Flash W25Q16.
The iCESugar-nano Repo can be found at the following link: http://github.com/wuxx/icesugar-nano. With its open source FPGA development capabilities and convenient features, the iCESugar-nano is a versatile and user-friendly option for developers and engineers.
